Junior Circles and Diamonds
Awards for our Junior girls are split into two different styles which are based on Circle and Diamond designs. Girls in P4 and P5 work towards gaining brightly decorated Circle badges to represent the colourful nature and diversity of the programme they complete as well as their ongoing progression through GB. Girls in P6 and P7 receive gold rimmed Diamond badges which are more sophisticated in appearance to give a sense of maturity and recognition for their additional capabilities as they continue to develop and take on new challenges within GB.
The programme material for Juniors covers our four key areas of badge work – Physical, Spiritual, Educational and Service. To gain their Circle or Diamond Juniors participate in a variety of fun, engaging and stimulating activities as they work for 6-8 week blocks to complete topics from within each of these areas. This also ensures a balanced programme of activity is covered throughout the year.
To recognise the achievements of Juniors who join GB late in the session certificates for each of the four individual badge work areas can also be presented.
Service Awards
In addition to receiving awards for badge work girls and young women are also awarded a Service Award for each year they give service and attendance to their company. These are designed in the shape of a gold star with a white centre which depicts the number of years they have attended GB.
