The Brigaders section in GBS is open to all girls from the time they begin secondary education through to their 18th Birthday, regardless of whether or not they choose to remain in the education system. We recognise that this can be an exciting but challenging time in the lives of young women.
For this reason we offer Brigaders an opportunity for informal learning using bespoke programme material while also providing a safe space to have fun, develop friendships, share concerns with peers or leaders together with opportunities to represent GBS at local and national events.
Brigaders can also elect to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh and Queen’s Awards and from the age of 16 can choose to begin their Leadership Training within GBS which equips them with all the skills they require to become Adult Volunteers within the organisation.
